Your Greenlight team welcomes the actions taken by local police in Operation Clearlight to

reduce the problem, particularly in Ilford Lane.

Of particular concerns are the actions of kerb crawlers whose actions can lead to the unwelcome propositioning of innocent local residents. The successful prosecution of these people can make prostitution in the area unprofitable and hopefully the problems in Ilford South will cease.

But we would ask residents to be aware of problems surfacing elsewhere, as history has shown that when an area is cleared of the problem it resurfaces elsewhere. Recently Wilson, acting on information from concerned local residents, has highlighted such a problem by reporting a brothel at 74 Gordon Rd
