Wilson successfully led the campaign for expansion of the Controlled Drinking Zone that now covers all of Clementswood Ward and much of Mayfield Ward. Working with local people, Police and the Local Council he was also responsible for introduction of the "No Drinking" Signage along Green Lane and banning of local super strength beer sales. This has drastically reduced the alcohol related antisocial behaviour that was once everywhere in the area.
